How to Register (Step-by-Step)
Follow these steps in order to complete your full certification:
- Complete the Online Theory (Part 1):
- Register for and complete the online theory course via Canada Soccer Grassroots Coach Education.
- Note: You must use the exact same full name and email address as your Coach Centre account.
- Create an Account:
- Go to Coach Centre and create an account (skip if you already have one).
- Wait for Credit Approval (7–10 Days):
- It takes 7 to 10 days after completing the online theory for the credit to appear on your Coach Centre profile.
- Register for the On-Field Practical (Part 2):
- Once your credit is applied, log into Coach Centre to register for the on-field practical workshop to complete your certification

Which Course Should You Take?
BC Soccer expects all affiliate coaches to be trained at the specific age level they coach. Use this guide to determine which course you need:
U5-U7 - Active Start
U8-U9 - FUNdamentals
U10-U13 - Learn to Train (Required to coach U12/13 Rep and Development Soccer Program)
U14 and older - Soccer For Life (Required to coach U14-U18 rep soccer)

- Developer & Delivery: Designed by Canada Soccer and delivered on the field by a certified Learning Facilitator (LF).
- Objective: Keeps you up to date on current coaching practices and principles tailored for optimal player development under the Long-Term Player Development (LTPD) framework.
