About Us:
Alberni Athletics Soccer Club is dedicated to fostering a passion for soccer among youth in our community. We offer a range of programs aimed at skill development, coaching education, and fostering a supportive environment for players of all levels.
Role Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic leaders to join our Technical Committee. As a member, you will play a crucial role in planning, organizing, and delivering our technical programs. Your contributions will directly impact the growth and success of our club. Your role will contribute to the technical committee responsibilities and you will report to the Technical Director. Time commitment will vary depending on your assigned portfolio (see below).
Committee Responsibilities:
- Plan and Organize Programs: Coordinate various technical programs such as Summer Camps, Coach Education sessions, Technical Team and Coach Meetings, and specialized clinics.
- Develop Curriculum: Update, Deliver and demonstrate training curricula for different age groups and skill levels, ensuring alignment with club objectives.
- Coach Development: Support lead coaches and facilitate &/or participate in coach education initiatives to maintain high coaching standards across the club.
- Evaluate and Assess: Conduct evaluations for our representative (Rep) teams, playing up requests and oversee programs tailored to enhance player performance.
- Inclusivity: Advocate for underrepresented groups, ensuring equitable access to our soccer programs.
- Keener and Development Programs: Oversee the U7-8 Keener Program and U9-11 Development Soccer (DS) to nurture young talents.
- Specialized Clinics: Coordinate goalkeeper clinics (U8-18) to enhance goalkeeping skills within our club.
Working Conditions Overview:
Each Technical Lead will be assigned a portfolio of programs based on their qualifications, experience, availability & interests. Assignment will be through consultation with the Technical Director.
