The Alberni Athletics Soccer Club (AASC) encourages all teams to participate in tournaments throughout the season, offering valuable development opportunities. This policy applies to all coaches, team managers, players, and members involved in tournaments. Teams must notify the Club before registering for any tournament, whether local or out-of-town, and ensure player contact information, including emergency details, is available.
Teams must receive approval from the AASC Executive before registering. The Executive can deny participation if the tournament is not sanctioned, if the team has previously failed to represent AASC appropriately, or if the tournament is not in the best interest of the players or Club. Once approved, teams must submit registration confirmation, a team roster, and criminal record checks for coaches and managers.
Coaches are responsible for the safety and conduct of players during tournaments and must follow the AASC Coaches and Parent Codes of Conduct. Non-compliance may lead to disciplinary action. This policy will be reviewed annually for effectiveness.
